I just got a memo from the bank that next Friday is “take your daughter to work” day. Are you kidding me? I’m a full time Mom who just recently added the responsibility of office job to my already over flowing plate. Every day is taking my daughter to work day 24/7! Who comes up with this crap? Either some guy looking to impress his politically correct boss or a very smart gal who wanted her husband to take their daughter for the day so she might be able to shower that month!

I was thinking I would pass on this manufactured day of hoopla…that is until I brought it up to my Mother. My traditional and very misguided Mom urged me not to expose Ashley to my “alternative lifestyle.” Is she high? If being a working Mother is alternative, God forbid she ever got a peek at my girl’s nights out with Heather and Kelly.

Suffice it to say I will proudly expose Ashley to the corrupt environment of office politics, ill fitting pants suits and micro waved low fat lunches. What a great concept. Kudos to the genius who created this day!
