Now that Matt and I both work it’s evened the playing field when it comes to the weekends. Before I went to work at the bank, I always had Matt do something with Ashley on Saturdays so I could take a much needed rest. The parks are crawling with weekend warriors who’ve been banished to the swings by exhausted stay at home parents. Well now it’s become a point of contention between us. Even though I still feel I do the lion’s share of the parenting, it’s tough to justify my old weekend routine. Matt’s solution is to have my Mom take Ashley out so we can both rest. HELL NO! The last thing I want on my days off is my Mother taking me on a guided tour of my “disorganized home”. For the time being we’ve taken to tossing a coin. Luckily for me I saved the magicians two faced coin from Ashley’s sixth birthday party. So far my weekends have been very restful.
