After living in 9 countries over the past 15 years and raising 2 kids I have come to the conclusion that eating problems are caused by western cultures to create problems for problems sake. I have never seen or heard of parents having such difficuties feeding children. If you model good habits your children will follow. How difficult is it?

If you haven't tried this already have your little ones do the food prep, the more interested they are in food the more likely they are to eat it. This advise was given to me by a montessori teacher and it worked a treat for my 2 year old, I let her prep all the veggies for dinner, she gets them out of the fridge, washes them and helps chop them with a butter knife, she then sets the table and we give her thanks for helping with dinner. It makes dinner time much longer but worth it, she eats great now.

Thanks for the tip I will have to try this with my 5 year old. He just won't eat anything if he does not know what it is.

My kids are extremly picky eaters! In the early days, it seemed I couldn't get them to eat anything, but I discovered something one day. If you put a toothpick in it ... they will eat it. Yes, it started simply with banana slices. Then, chicken cubes. Try it! If you are desperate like I was you'll try anything. Oh, make sure your kids are supervised! Potential choking hazard! Ages 3 and up are recommended for this.
